There are 67 species of Phlox, a tall flowering plant mainly found in North America. These flowering plants can grow in a variety of\u00a0habitats around the country, they have been known to appear in the Alpine Tundra, urban gardens, open woodland areas and\u00a0prairies. Some of these perennial flowers bloom in spring, while other open up later into the summer and fall.\u00a0The flowers each have five rounded petals that\u00a0grow in dense clusters atop a tall stems up to 4 feet tall. Each flower is about an inch in diameter and grow in a variety of colors including; pink, magenta, white, purple, violet, pale blue, or bright red.<\/p>\n Care: <\/strong>Phlox is a hardy low maintenance perennial that loves to grow in the sun, but can tolerate partial shade. Plant them in well drained soil with plenty of room so air can circulate around them. Water enough to keep soil moist in the summer months, but avoid overwatering the leaves if they are growing in a humid or particularly shady area.
